School Rant #1

I’m tired.

Seriously, the words that were in bold are the only ones that I want to blog. It’s a pretty ambiguous word but I know people would be able to figure out why. I seriously want to give up this very minute. I don’t know if I want to blame myself for still trying to continue the course that I currently have. My grades are not failing, but my heart is. Truth is, I only perform the return demonstrations for the sake of getting a grade, not for the love or curiosity of it.

Next week, it’ll be our return demonstration in BEDMAKING. I swear we have bedmaking. I don’t get it why nurses have to learn how to change the beddings and stuff, when it’supposed to be the housekeeping department’s job. Right? The return demonstration will already start on Monday, and I haven’t studied for even a single procedure.

I just don’t know if GOODLUCK could do me any good.

So long 1st sem, I’ll miss you.

I guess I can finally say goodbye to First Semester and say “hi” to Second Semester.

I got my grades awhile ago, and those grades aren’t enough for bragging. I’m not a straight-A student, though my parents want me to be one, but my brain just can’t carry the load, or I simply am just a slowpoke and a slothy person. But, I still can say that I am happy with my grades eventhough I wasn’t qualified to be Dean’s Lister.

So, atleast now, my feelings are a lot more better than a few weeks ago and I’m not anxious anymore. I won’t worry if I’ll be an irregular student because I failed a subject. Because I passed all my subjects and I will still be a regular student like! yeah! *rak’en’roll*

This simply means, I’m off to second semester, and God knows where I’ll be standing. Goodluck sakin! :D

First Semester = Almost Over

ALMOST… ALMOST THERE..
Andami ko ng gusto i-blog, but I simply don’t have time for it. I miss blogging talaga. May time naman ako eh para isingit ang pag-bblog, pero I prefer to take my rest. A rest I kinda deserve from studying all those body parts from the tips of my hair down to the tips of my toenails. Epistaxis to the nth power talaga.

WORD CHECK: EPISTAXIS – medical term for nosebleed.

So, malapit ang sembreak namin. Siguro naman makakapag-blog na uli ako. Stagnant na ang blog ko eh. Bumaba tuloy yung PR ko to 4. PR 5 pa naman ako dati. Lol. *as if that matters much*

And… Perhaps I’ll have time to update my “photoblog“. LOL :D

FAST TRACKING

We have a new curriculum. And I don’t like it.

It’s been a LONNNNNGGGG time since I posted something to blog about. But now, there’s something I can’t contain, and I have to let this out. I am currently taking up Bachelor of Science in NURSING. Thing is, Nursing is a nice course, can even be made as a pre-med nowadays. But the sad thing is, in our school, they FAST TRACKED the whole thing.

I am a freshmen student nurse, and sadly, my batch will experience the new curriculum. During the second semester, we will “already” be having a subject called FUNDAMENTALS IN NURSING PRACTICE. We’ll be practicing inserting IV’s, Vital Signs and etcetera. We were all excited about it, not until the BSN FRATSOR told us that we, freshmen, will have our CAPPING and PINNING during the SUMMER. YES. That early. As early as first year, we would already undergo CAPPING and PINNING. Then during our sophomore year, during the first sem, we will go on duty.

EVERYTHING IS RUNNING AND GOING SO FAST.

2 words will sum this up.  ”FAST TRACKING.” :(

Random: School’s Cool

2 days of orientation.. and I really had F-U-N.

Our first orientation was yesterday and it was quite fun. We were briefed on what each offices do and the services they offer to us students. Though it was quite boring too because we had the orientation for a whole day but still thankful because of the 2 hr and 30 minute lunch break. We were bored because the presentations and intermission numbers weren’t that satisfying. But, maybe because I’m just used to the dancers of my school before, way back in highschool. Which were, much more better dancers than the ones in my new school. :)

Today, we had the second day of orientation and we had it in our respective classrooms. I was one of the first ones to be there but sadly, I forgot to bring crayons. So i went down again to go to the nearest bookstore. Problem is, the entrance gate can’t be used as an exit gate. The exit gate is at the side of the school, and is quite a long walk. A long walk going out, and also a long walk going in again of the campus. *papayat na ako dahil dyan. lol* The last activity we had was this tour thingy around the campus, and we were divided into 5 groups. I “think” that I was the leader of the group because I was the only one excited about it. Lol. So the task given to us was that, we were given a piece of paper with a lot of boxes. Each box contains a certain department, and a description of a person/staff that belongs to that department. I was assigned to let the doctor of the clinic sign the paper. But hey, what I did was not easy. The doctor required everyone who asks of her signature to sing or dance infront of her. I chose singing since I can really sing, but I can’t dance. I can dance a little tinikling though. Lol. So yeah, I still had fun because of that task. :)

Next, in the afternoon, we had a pageant. It was the search for Mr. & Ms. Freshmen, and the Search for a Star – Dancing Icon thing. It was so fun because of my gay batchmates who are so funny. They really danced as if nobody is really watching them. And, here’s a plus.. My batchmates who are gay are really good in doing somersaults and SPLITS! OOHH EMM GEE. *I can’t do splits, and I envy them. Lol*

And speaking of gay, I have a new friend, which happens to be my classmate, who is gay. Her  His name is Erickson but because I love her him to bones, I baptized her him, and named her him… ERICKA. :D

*There aren’t any photos because I really forgot to bring my camera with me. And I regret it a lot. :(

Lahat Bago

Lahat magiging bago.. And I’m referring to COLLEGE LIFE.

Shh. 2 weeks to go before my classes starts. Sa June 16 na and I can’t wait. Alam ko di magiging ordinary day yun since hindi naman magiging ordinary ang feeling ko. Unlike when I was still in highschool, the only exciting day was my first day in Highschool as a Freshman. At 2 weeks from now, I’ll be a Freshman again. College nga lang. Lahat naman siguro satin eh kinabahan nung first day nila sa college kasi siyempre totally different na. The teachers will be different, perhaps more “weird” classmates, and yeah, no permanent classmates. Unlike nung nasa gradeschool ako, di naman talaga ako ganun ka-excited tumapak sa highschool kasi hindi naman ganun ka-different.

Eat my heart out

I love eating, but it is destroying my future.

Okay. I confess that this is a rant blog post, and I can’t help it. I mean, For more than a month, I’ve ranted about the same thing. My eating habit, my weight and now, judgement day is fast approaching. In my blog post Obese?! I was complaining on how I will be able to get rid of my excess fat. I wanted to highlight and bold the word excess, but I just realized that I love myself more than anything else. Sheesh.

Goodbye Alma Mater

Farewell. Farewell my second abode.

I went to school awhile ago to get my report card and return my toga. I had a strange feeling after looking at the surroundings of my school. Perhaps it’s the unusual silence that I wasn’t used to. I grew up in that place facing it with noise due to yells, music and laughter from my schoolmates, but awhile ago, none of these noises were present. Just the sweeping of leaves from the tree.

I’m on the list

touched.gif I’m on the list of the Candidates for Graduation.

I know Highschool isn’t a pretty big deal for others, but for me, it is. Now I know why people would always tell me that high school is the most enjoyable moment you’ll spend while you’re still a student. Most people might say that High School is just a piece of cake. It is for me, except for MATH. I hate to admit it, but I flunk in Math, but still manage to pass the subject despite the certain quarters that I’ve flunked.

CSAT Blues

angry.gif Ugh. Ampf. Phfft. Tssk.

Okay, so we 4th year students took up CSAT(College Scholastic Aptitude Test), to test how much we’ve learned from our highschool lessons. The condition was that, when we got a GA of 530 and above, we wouldn’t need to take the entrance exam of Ateneo de Davao University College. But what the heck, letters where given awhile ago, stating that everyone should take the entrance exam even those who reached the quota of 530 and above.
